BIO
Pınar Temizel Çulha was born in Istanbul. After concluding her elementary and high school education, she took singing lessons from the distinguished Turkish opera singer Belkıs Aran. In 1991, she entered the Opera-Singing Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and took her repertoire and stage performance lessons from Aydın Gün, the founder of the Turkish State Opera. She graduated the university with Bachelor’s Degree in 1998. In the same year, she was selected in an audition for the Cemal Reşit Rey Orchestra and Choir as a soloist and choir singer. Apart from the concerts she had given, she took part in the operetta “Deli Dolu” and in the operas “La Traviata” and “Özsoy”. She was invited to the event of “3. Baroque Days” incorporated by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. In 2002, Mrs. Çulha was qualified for the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet as a jobber soloist and choir singer and kept on with the same occupation till 2007, in which year she promoted to the official personnel. She is still performing, in the same, meritorious position of being included in the official personnel of the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet.
Additionally, she is giving concerts with the 11 years-old music community “Sesler Hazinesi (Treasure of Voices)” since its foundation and had toured across Europe, performing in locations such as Germany, Nüremberg-Bayreuth and/or Greece, Kilkis-Odessa. She is a diverse singer with her further competence on the Greek and Turkish Traditional Music. Her ongoing shows are “Sesli Tarih (Audial History)”, “Şehr-i Aşk İstanbul (City of Love: Istanbul)” and İki Buğday Başağı (Two Ears of a Grain) which she performs with her own, dancer brother, Kaan Temizel. Furthermore, she is currently working on her solo projects with her producing son Onat.
